About Valhalla Beard Care - Valhalla Beard Care Inc. was born in the mind and heart of Lee Dubois.
The Beginning
In 2016, I decided to grow my first beard. After a couple of months, I said to myself, "If I'm going to have a beard, I should have a beard style." So, I researched beard styles. During my search, I discovered an entire culture surrounding beard ownership.
From there, I researched the male grooming industry and discovered that year over year since 2014, the industry had grown worldwide by an average of 9% per year. At that point, I thought that this would be a great small business to have as an extra source of income. This began my journey.
Now, since 2016, after a steep and continuous learning curve, I am confident we are one of the finest beard care companies in Canada.

About Valhalla Beard Care - I have worked diligently, creating, experimenting and defining my own line of beard care products, and although maintaining some of the proven favorite scents that I have observed from many sources, I have stepped outside the box and blended my own unique line of beard oils, beard balms, shampoo and conditioner, lotions, and lip balms. Yes we have traditional blends that keep the classic scent lovers satisfied, but we now also have my proven blends that break the traditional beard scent combinations mold.
The brand and the logo were an easy decision and discovery.
Lineage
About Valhalla Beard Care - I realized and adopted from my mother's side of the family the Viking persona. Aina Nordin. Daughter of a Swedish Father and a Norwegian mother, both farmers.
She is authentically of Swedish and Norwegian blood, and I was convinced it would be a great fit.
I am proud to represent my mother's lineage. I remember days when I was young some of the simple traditions that she grew up with and shared with my siblings and I.
I was drawn to the image of the raven from the legends surrounding Odin. Huggin & Munnin. ( Memory & Thought). The raven is a symbol of wisdom. It can be seen as an intermediary between man and the world of the Gods. Thus, in Norse mythology, Huginn and Muninn maintain the link between the earthly universe and the spiritual life: the two ravens whisper in Odin's ear what they have seen in the world of men.
I wanted to add something more to create an identifiable and unique logo.
I added a version of Thor's Hammer (Mjolnir),and a Celtic knot pattern. Everything seemed to work so well together, I was confident in these choices.
I chose a simple color pattern that was bold and eye-catching. It seems that any color variation works equally as well.
Behind every blend of beard oil, I have added a bit of a description of the source of the inspiration to assist customers in choosing their product knowing that each one is the finest blend.
